Main Bit – Two Player Games
- Are 2-player games unique?
- Difficulty making a multiplayer game that is both N-player and head to head
- Wargames where goal is destruction/incapacitation of all other players works better as a H2H game.
- Attempting to add a 2-player experience to a MP game after the fact, renders game experience markedly different from core gameplay (mechanics are removed or crowbarred in)
- Is there such a thing as a deliberately-designed 2-player cooperative game? Or is it a happy (or not so happy) accident from a co-op game which just happens to work well for 2?
- BSG – Admit it, this game was never intended for 2.
- Arkham Horror
- Ghost Stories
- LotR (Knizia)
- Recommendations based on interests
- War Games
- Any iteration of the Command and Colors system by Richard Borg
- Ogre
- Any TTG/Miniatures game; they’re naturally predisposed for 2 players. They can support more, but tend to get clunky and bogged down the more players you add
- 1960
- Starship Catan
- Traditional Card Games (Speed, Cribbage, Cassino)
- Catan the Card Game
- Jambo
- Battle Line
- Babel

Hi Ben,
I played Kingsburg and ate Korean Japanese with you all at AGF, it was a blast. I enjoyed the Festivus podcast, and will be checking out other episodes. Cool to see you are a Homestar fan. A coworker of mine is the older brother of the Homestar Runner guys, they are based here in ATL.
